Milan couldn’t imagine much poorer start of the season as they were defeated in the first round of Serie A against a newly promoted Verona away from home last weekend. Although they took the lead with a nice goal in 15th minute scored by Poli, they stooped playing in a way they did till then and were defeated with two goals from Luca Toni, in 30th and 53rd minute. Of course, this defeat brought a lot of pressure for Milan’s players for this game, as the game is anyway vital for the team, especially for the coach Allegri. There are already rumors of coach replacement in case they fail to reach the Champions League group stage and there is no doubt that Milan will have to take this match fully serious in case they want a positive outcome.
The coach has said that he doesn’t want to see his team once again with the behavior like in the second half against Verona, adding that he was angry with the way the team looked, but also saying that the players understood their mistake. While he also made it clear that this is the most important game of the season saying that the team isn’t going to play defensively. Left back De Sciglio is ready to fight, same as defensive midfielder De Jong, while winger Boateng didn’t play in Verona only to keep him rested enough. Defender Antonini and midfielder Traore are injured, while defender Bonera, midfielder Saponara and striker Pazzini are injured and weren’t even registered for this game.PSV Eindhoven is also not coming into this game with a positive result, as they failed to win an easy game, at home against Heracles last weekend taking only a point in a 1:1 draw. It was their first drop of points in the domestic league after three consecutive victories at the start of the season.
It was a match where their lineup consisted only of Dutch players, for the first time since 32 years, PSV didn’t show anything more but a modest performance, as they were back in the scoreline already after six minutes, while Park brought the equalizer in 66th minute. Coach Cocu was nowhere satisfied, saying that they failed to find a way to respond after the conceded goal, as there were phases during the game when the team forgot to play football. However, the team has one of the youngest rosters in the club’s history while the main target remains to win the championship in a season when the club turns out 100th year since the establishment. Important offensive midfielder Wijnaldum was injured in the last game but also is a part of the mission, while right winger Narsingh also went to Milan, but was absent from the middle of last season. Only sure absentee is Swedish midfielder Hiljemark (3/1).

Not a lot of goals are expected tonight as Milan, team that has to be very serious tonight, takes on very young squad of PSV. After a poor start of the season there is no other option for Milan but to attack from the start and take an easy qualification over the Dutch side with a victory in ninety minutes.
