England vs Montenegro Prediction Betting Tips and Preview: "First versus Third at Wembley on Friday night as The Three Lions host Hrabri Sokoli in a crunch match in Group H and we have got free football tips for England vs Montenegro."
With just one point between the two teams, a win for either will take them one step closer to Brazil 2014 and it’s England that are tipped for the win.
The much derided England team, despite their tumbling FIFA Ranking, have a pretty decent record over the last few years. In their last 42 matches their form reads W24 D14 L4 and Roy Hodgson has officially only lost one game (the penalty shootout defeat versus Italy counts as a draw) during his 20 game tenure, winning 11 and drawing eight. Despite England yet to record a victory in three encounters against Montenegro, that record should read as 12 victories come 10pm on Friday.
Both sides come into this with injury concerns but they pose more of a problem for the visitors as influential Juventus striker Marko Vucinic, keeper Mladen Bozovic, centre back Marko Basa and midfielder Miodrag Pekovic are all on the sidelines whilst Jovetic and Dzudovic remain doubts. They will still pose a threat going forward but the lack of defensive cover will surely tell and that's why we are offering England to win as a football betting tip.
You won’t get rich backing England at 2/5, and the odds on for England/England in the HT/FT Market are about as appealing as being told you’ve got spam on toast for tea. What does catch my eye however is 13/5 for England to win and both teams to score. With England expected to win it makes sense to bet on this market as they have only kept five clean sheets in their last 16 matches, with four of those coming against the home and away games against San Marino and Moldova. Three of the last four Montenegro’s matches have seen both teams’ score and at 13/5 it’s worth chancing our arm.
The anytime goalscorer market has thrown up a rather attractive proposition in the shape of Dejan Damjanović. Currently 11/2 to bag anytime, that looks too big for me given his scoring record for club and country. Not many will have heard of the Montenegrin forward as he has been plying his trade in the K-League since 2008 scoring 118 goals in 186 matches. He has brought this good form to the national team as well as he has scored five in 19 internationals and netted in the reverse fixture back in March. With Vucinic out, he’s likely to start and given the brittle nature of England’s defence he can take advantage of any opportunity that comes his way.
