Elsewhere around Europe Spain and France will look to consolidate their positions in first and second place in Group I with wins over Finland and Georgia and the Neterlands can all but secure their passage to Brazil with a win over Estonia if Hungary and Romania slip up.
Germany face a crunch match against rivals Austria in Group C that could see them go eight points clear of their rivals but Sweden and the Republic of Ireland are currently level on points with Austria so they will be looking to at least avoid defeat in berlin.
Group A looks like s shootout for top spot between Belgium and Croatia, both face tough away matches. Belgium are in Scotland and Croatia face a tough trip to rivals Serbia.
Group F is finely balanced and Portugal will need to win in Northern Ireland to hold on to pole position with Russia facing a banker home match with Luxembourg. Third placed Israel are not in action until next week.
Any slip up in Group H from England will allow Ukraine right back into the reckoning who will pick up three points against San Marino while current group leaders Montenegro face a tough trip to Poland who themselves would have an outside chance of finishing in the top two with a victory.
